The wires and brackets are made out of a clear ceramic, so they will blend in with your teeth. They are a very discrete brace, but you will still be able to make them out slightly. We do offer Secret Smile, which is the lingual 100% invisible sister brace to this system.

Should I avoid some foods?
When having a brace system fitted, we will always recommend that you try and avoid any drinks or food that contain a high level of sugar, as well as crunchy hard foods as they can damage the brace.

Why Is This Treatment Quicker Than Other Braces?
This brace is a cosmetic orthodontic treatment that focuses on giving you a cosmetic beautiful smile without treating the bite, which can be a long treatment time of 18-24 months.

Will My Teeth Still Remain Straight After Treatment?
After having any braces it will be imperative that you wear retainers. This is because the natural thing to happen your teeth, is to try and move back to their original crooked positions. By having a retainer fitted (removable or fixed), you will be able to avoid having a relapse.

InVu braces

What are InVu braces?

InVu are braces which work in a similar way to the traditional metal brace, but they are a more modernised version with many more benefits. InVu are braces with ceramic brackets which are matched to perfectly blend in against the colour of your teeth. They are not just an incredibly strong brace which will provide you with beautifully straight teeth, but they also match your teeth to appear much more discrete than traditional metal braces.

Why would I want to have InVu braces?

  • The colour matching technology means that the ceramic brackets blend in perfectly with your teeth, straightening them in a very discrete fashion
  • They are small so take up less room in your mouth for maximum comfort
  • They have no sharp corners, so they will not scratch against your cheeks
  • InVu braces have incredibly strong brackets which are much more durable and effective than metal brackets
  • They are safer than most ceramic braces as they use a mesh on the base and do not damage the enamel surface of the tooth

Only InVu Braces make use of a new Personalised Colour-Matching Technology® which allows them to blend in seamlessly with your teeth. InVu Braces are extremely discrete as they are virtually invisible and are not prone to staining like some other aesthetic braces.

Standard metal braces and some other ceramic braces are made with sharp edges which can cause irritation against the cheeks and lips. InVu is made using a technologically advanced injection-moulding method which produces a smooth and comfortable surface. Their edges are gently rounded to stop sharp corners rubbing against your cheeks. They are also much smaller than metal braces, so they are far less bulky, making them much more comfortable.

As well as creating a beautifully smooth surface, the injection-moulded process gets rid of any imperfections and weak points that might cause the braces to break; so InVu braces are much stronger and more durable than some other ceramic braces.

InVu braces are far less likely to chip or shatter than other braces during the course of your treatment. They are also safer when it comes to removing them because they are fitted with an exclusive mesh base that comes away from the tooth’s surface easily, protecting your tooth enamel. Other ceramic braces must be broken in order to remove them, and remnants must be sanded off. This process can cause little chips and flakes to fly off, and there is a danger of swallowing these particles.

Are InVu braces suitable for me?

InVu braces can be used to help with a variety of different orthodontic problems including:

  • Crooked/wonky teeth
  • Overbites and Underbites
  • Misaligned teeth

Lingual braces sit on the inside surface of your teeth. They're often called hidden braces, because their positioning means you can't see them from the outside.

Clear aligners

Invisible braces, sometimes known as clear aligners, are one of the most popular orthodontic treatments for adult patients.

What other benefits does teeth straightening offer?

Orthodontic treatment improves chewing efficiency by re-establishing the correct relationship between lower and upper teeth, removing the difficulty you may have when chewing certain kinds of food, and so providing better nutrition.

In some cases, orthodontics can also prevent complications in the temporomandibular joint (the joint which joins the jaw to the skull). Chronic pain in the head, face, neck or ears, as well as dizziness, nausea and restricted ability to open and close the mouth can originate here.
