BPA is short for Bisphenol A and is a common material compound that is used in the manufacturing of plastics (bags, bottles, food containers etc). BPA has received a lot of controversial media attention in recent years as BPA has been proven to exerts a weak amount of estrogen. Many governments around the world have started to ban the use of BPA in the manufacturing of food containers, which does include baby bottles!
Is BPA dangerous?
BPA is a very controversial subject, but government officials have stated that the risk (if any) of BPA to our health will be very minimal.
What are BPA free composite fillings?
BPA free composite fillings will function in the exact same way as normal fillings and will even match your natural tooth colour. The only difference, is a different composite (BPA free) is used in the filling compound.
