If you have toothache, what should you do
Pain is an indicator of an underlying problem, with correct assessment and investigation we can identify the cause of the pain and treat it accordingly. Contact our clinic immediately.
What to do if you have fractured a tooth
A fractured tooth may be a sign that there is decay within the tooth and this has weakened the tough outer surface. If you are experiencing pain this may mean the decay is close to the nerve or the fractured portion of the tooth has exposed a sensitive area. Seeking assistance from an emergency dentist will ensure the tooth is treated promptly and with care restore it back to its normal state. Whether you need a filling, inlay or crown these procedures can be undertaken in one visit. Visit our CEREC page for information on same day restorations.
If you have lost a crown/filling
We can re-fix a crown or inlay if it has dislodged form the tooth. If unrestorable we can replace the crown or inlay with a new one whilst you wait. (Visit our CEREC page for details on same day restorations). It is important to visit a dentist if you loose a crown/inlay as an unprotected tooth may lead to pain or further damage.
If you have a swelling next to my tooth
A swelling may be the sign that an infection is present. If you also have the following symptoms; redness, swelling and pain you must seek immediate assistance. If left the swelling can get larger and the infection may spread resulting in pain and discomfort.
If you have any of the above contact our team immediately and we shall arrange an emergency appointment with an experienced dentist.
We offer emergency dentist appointments in the following areas: Hereford, Tewkesbury, Monmouth, Malvern, Powys, Worcester or Gloucester.
