What are Composite Veneers?
If you suffer from any tooth discolouration or minor cracks and chips, composite veneers can be fixated on the surfaces of your teeth to give you a beautiful even smile again. Composite veneers are very similar to porcelain veneers, but are different because they can be completed in one visit and are significantly cheaper.
Are Composite Veneers suitable for me?
Composite Veneers are especially suited for people with:
- Damaged and chipped teeth
- Stained/discoloured teeth
- Wonky/crooked teeth
- Gaps between teeth
What does the treatment plan consist of?
Your dentist will construct the composite veneers to your exact needs and requirements whilst you wait, creating your desired smile. When they have been made and the patient are happy with the composite veneers, your dentist will bond them to the surfaces of your teeth using a bonding agent (glue). In most cases there wont be a need to drill down any of your teeth, but your dentist will keep you informed at every stage of the treatment.
How long can I expect Composite Veneers to last?
Composite Veneers will generally last between 2-5 years – Which can be affected and prolonged by:
- The type of composite material used – There are different types that vary in quality and price – Which will be discussed during the free consultation
- The patients lifestyle (after-care) – by having a healthy dental routine and not grinding your teeth or drinking lots of sugary drinks will help increase the longevity of your composite veneers
